Is it just me, or are you guys STILL thinking about Tommy's Spring 2016 collection?!?!?! I mean, how could you not love Gigi Hadid in a bikini!? Sorry, but Tommy's show without a doubt was my favorite show of NYFW. Between the crocheted tops and vibrant colors, Tommy was obviously on island time. I mean, who wouldn't be on island time if it means cavorting beachside with Hailey Baldwin and Binx Walton! His collection was a major standout, because to me, it was not expected. When I think Tommy, I think of preppy, Connecticut moms taking their daughters to a tennis private. When I think of Tommy's Spring 2016 collection, I think of a completely different style. A staple piece in his collection was the colorful, stringy bikinis. The swimsuits made me feel as if summer would never end... and personally, I am more than okay with that! Another garment that I was utterly obsessed with were the beanies. They gave the show a "ya mon" vibe and to this day they are still Ja-maican-me-crazy (cheesy, I know). The shoes in the show consisted of espadrilles and sandals with hawaiin prints and crazy colors. Such an island staple, am I right? Not to mention, the set-up of the show was out of this world! The runway was basically a boardwalk, and the floor was covered in sand. If there's one thing for sure, The best part of the venue was the lagoon in the center of the runway. When all the models jumped into the water in their tiny bikinis, I freaked! They assembled into one of those pyramids that you would see in Mean Girls, and in that moment they were the definition of #squadgoals. My heart melted a little when Gigi and Bella held hands while strutting in the water... Sister power! Now it's about time I pack my bag and board a plane to the Caribbean... ya feel?
